Handcut leather with hand-drawn “shrinky dinks”
I’ve been working at getting a collection of my earrings packaged and ready to go for this Monday. I’m meeting with someone from a new gallery near my hometown to give her some product for her store and talk about going there to install my giant crochet tree sculpture from two years ago into a new space in the next couple weeks! I’m thrilled and my grandpa is going to be happy to get it out of his basement ;)

I’m working on some new imagery…

Hi! This is what I made in the jewelry class I was taking. The pendant is silver with a labradorite gemstone with a technique called chasing to make the designs around the stone. The chain is 21.9 m of beading wire, It is now 1.2 m… the technique I used is called viking knit, which is very similar to the corking process you would use with yarn for doing tubular knitting. I now know how much work has to go into one little piece of jewelry…but I still like it.

this is my new fridge mantra for getting through boring days at work…
